Due to being unable to throw away anything I think might be useful I have a studio full of fabric, paper & other found objects.
These are transformed using various printing methods including cyanotype (an early type of photography or sun printing), eco-printing (natural dyeing using local plants to provide the colour & patterns) and other types of mono printing with paint & inks plus sewing by machine & hand, into a range of beautiful and useful objects.
These may be cards, books, clothing, collages, wallhangings, bowls, or whatever else I think up.
I also make up packs of printed papers or fabrics for you to take away and do your own creating.
I will be in the studio Thursday-Sunday during Art Weeks to show some of these techniques, along with Viv Egid's ceramics, Hazel Godfrey's basketry-based art, and John Ingall's glass. Demonstrations daily at approx 12 and 2pm.
The studio is situated in my eccentric wild courtyard garden which you are welcome enjoy during your visit.
